Dear Fearless Parent,

For 30+ years, as a family and adolescent therapist, parent of four, spouse for 32 years, educator, writer, director/choreographer and dancer, I have always worked with parents and kids. In everything I have done and experienced, I've found the best way to help kids is to help parents.

It’s why I developed Parenting You.

Kids are most at risk when disconnected from their parents. To fix this problem, Parenting You helps parents move into leadership in the parent-child relationship by addressing and healing disconnection?

Parenting is about the parent.

Kids benefit when parents are committed to their own personal growth, healing, and repair.

Parenting is about leadership.

Kids benefit when parents take responsibility for what’s not working and then DO something about it.

We live in a world that teaches us to look outside ourselves for answers. This message reinforces parent insecurity. What kids need is for their parents to take charge of what’s getting in the way of connection. But how do you do that? Who will help you? What does it even mean?

Parenting You is about You, the parent, because you are the most important person in the parent-child relationship. If it's not working for you, it's definitely not working for your child.

Let me ask you a few questions.

Parenting You is a roadmap for parents to identify what's getting in the way of being the parent you want to be and the parent your child needs you to be.

When parents react, they disconnect from their child. Kids who are disconnected from their parents are at greater social and emotional risk.

Let me support your parenting work.
